LICE ARBITER

Picking themselves up from arguably one of the most unfortunately-timed headline tours ever back in March, Bristol's LICE are ploughing on. Following April's almighty comeback track 'Conveyor', new offering 'Arbiter' leers with an industrial stomp similar to that of their chums and fellow TMR tips Bo Gritz. With harebrained guitar work, sounding all the more mental with the help of a mad scientist-inspired pedalboard, thudding bass locks in with the abrasive beats that conjure images of rusty nails being scraped down a blackboard. Applying wild delays in all the right spots, vocalist Alastair Shuttleworth's deranged ramblings speak of the band's growing disillusionment with the punk world’s self-serving narratives and sonic conservatism.
